VacuumBuddy / IN DEPTH

The work behind the interface.

Purpose, prerequisites and the evidence that belongs to the task.

Vacuum work deserves an account of what was actually observed. Vacuum Buddy is intended to carry equipment identity and circuit context through evacuation, explicit isolation, the start of decay, observation and review. The record should include the actual micron source, applicable target and duration, timestamps, trace and measurement quality. These details make the result interpretable; a polished timer or animation cannot substitute for them.

01

The applicable procedure

Targets and durations need a defensible basis in the relevant procedure. The workflow should not impose one universal pass threshold across different equipment, configurations or conditions.

02

An explicit observation

The technician confirms isolation and the start of decay. The app must preserve that distinction and must not imply that it operated a pump, valve or physical service tool.

03

An honest result

A completed observation and an inconclusive one are different outcomes. Stale data, a disconnected source or an unconfirmed isolation step cannot support a pass.

THROUGH THE TASK

Keep the context
at each step.

Open a step to inspect what needs to stay clear.

01Establish context

Confirm the physical unit, circuit, source and applicable procedure. Missing context remains a setup question rather than being filled from a previous job.

02Observe evacuation

Display the actual reported micron evidence and its freshness. Preserve interruptions so the record describes what the instrument supplied during the observation window.

03Confirm isolation

Record the technician’s explicit isolation confirmation and decay start. A screen transition alone should not claim that the physical system was isolated.

04Review the decay

Review the trace, duration, source quality and applicable expectation. Show missing evidence and inconclusive conditions before the technician accepts a stated result.

05Carry the result forward

The intended handoff carries that current observation once into related work. Historical or interrupted observations remain reviewable without becoming today’s status.

STATUS & EVIDENCE

A decay trace is evidence, not a universal certification.

Recording a trace does not by itself certify the absence of leaks or moisture. This is a product-workflow description, not a service instruction. Complete physical acceptance, durable saving and the vacuum-to-charge journey remain in development.
